Yellowstone Cutthroat Trout Day

Who? Grades 6-8

When? March 6^th from 9:50-12:04

Where? Mrs. Potas’ Room

Purpose:

Did you know Meeteetse School has participated in a Yellowstone Cutthroat Trout program for the last two years? For the past couple of years Trout Unlimited, Game and Fish, along with students from Meeteetse School have participated in field days, fish tagging, telemetry, fly-fishing, habitat restoration, and fish biology around our local Greybull River. We would like to extend this program into our classrooms starting March 6^th by including middle school students. Wyoming Game and Fish, along with Trout Unlimited will teach an entire interactive fish biology unit to our middle school students.

Students are asked to obtain any assignments/ homework from their classes prior to Wednesday’s fish unit.

The first Tuesday of every month is “Penny for Patients” penny collection day! Fill your penny boxes and bring them to school. The money raise will be donated to the America Leukemia Association to help kids battling lymphoma and leukemia cancer! Please help us every first Tuesday of the month!
